Following a year in Taiwan where he became fluent in Mandarin, Nick studied a double degree at UWA, achieving a Bachelor of Economics and a Bachelor of Arts – Asian Studies.
Community and connection continue to play a large role in Nick’s life, and he understands the importance of, and is heavily invested in the role sporting clubs have on local communities. When he is not busy selling properties, he still manages to pull on the boots every now and again!
Conscious to continue to contribute to his local community, in 2019 Nick and his wife, Kate, started a personal philanthropic fund through the Fremantle Foundation which they have titled the ‘Close to Home Fund’.
“As we grow our careers and progress through our professional lives, we feel it is becoming increasingly important to share our successes with those less fortunate in our community. We are personally contributing a portion of our own wages and sales commissions to the fund and thanks to our clients, we have a greater capacity to support important issues Close to Home. Kate and I are very thankful for you working with us and, by extension, helping the community grow.”
Nick is also very happy to provide the details of current and previous clients should you wish to interview them about their experiences with Nick and the Shellabears’ team.
